Wireless Mighty Mouse out!

Apple has released the wireless Mighty Mouse today. It utilises Bluetooth for the wireless, and replaces the optical mouse sensor with a laser one! More on Apple’s site.

Finally, Apple acknowledges the whine problem in this Kbase doc, which reads “If your 15-inch MacBook Pro emits a high-pitched buzzing sound, please contact AppleCare for service“. Stop the Whine! Send in your whiny MacBook Pros now! It’s really good to see Apple finally acknowledging all the production problems with the MacBooks instead of their earlier policy of insisting that the MacBook whine is “normal”. Although the Kbase article only mentions MacBook Pros, I believe that the earliest MacBooks (the latest ones do not have the whine) are covered as well.
For those of you who have bought white MacBooks and have the discoloration or yellowing problem, Apple has released a Kbase doc that simply reads “If your MacBook is exhibiting discoloration on the top case after some use, please contact AppleCare for service“. So if you have the problem, start calling your favourite Apple Authorised Service Center or the Applecare Hotline now.
