Vienna – full-featured FREE RSS reader

September 20th, 2005

I came across this free RSS reader on FreeMacWare.com a few days ago, and I must say it is pretty impressive! The interface is very similar to NetNewsWire Lite, so if you already use NNWL, the learning curve’s not too steep. However, you get several features like Smart Folders, as well as the ability to “flag” items (for later viewing), which you can only find in the “pay” version of NNW. It also supports password-protected RSS feeds (such as LJ blogs). Check it out and give it a try!

P.S. If you are more adventurous, you can try the latest (unreleased) build which includes, among other things, a built-in web browser…
